Loved every minute of it

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

My zetec s is my first and current car and I've loved every minute of it. The engine is small but powerful and the turbo makes a huge difference to the performance. The race red colour lookes striking yet grown up. Would 100% recommend this engine to anyone because I guarantee it will blow you away.

Love it!

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

Overall I love the car, it looks and performs really well. It has great some great features available on it. The only downside I would say is the hard ride which on bumpy roads can be very uncomfortable and the road noise can be a bit loud. The internal build quality lets it down a bit in places too especially the plastic tray to the bottom right of the steering wheel but this is worth putting up with.

Great car but awful mpg

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

The car is a decent car, drives like it has a 1.6 engine, but i would never pay the extra for the evoboost engine again, the stated mpg is noway possible, 18 months of ownersip, serviced at ford and tyre pressures checked regular and still cant get over 44mpg!!! And thats only possible on a motorway with cruise control on at 60mph, should of got the diesil version, saved on initial outlay and then saved at the pumps also, would recomend the fiesta but deffinitly not the ecoboost engine, should be called the "false economy" not ecoboost

Modern looks and design. The 1.0ltr 100bhp engine is surprisingly flexible due to the small turbo. Running costs are low, insurance cheap and zero road tax. Fuel consumption not as good as expected but still not bad. Good handling, comfortable to drive. 14000mls so far and reliability is 100%.

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

Hi everybody having had previosly 2 new Mazda2 over the last 3years and did not have any major concerns other than having the alloy wheels replaced for corrosion under way, also I thought the paint finish seemed very easy stone chip damaged For normal low millage use? My new Fiesta is far better no chip damage after 6Months ( Maybe better paint quality on the Ford ), I have been very surprised by this little 3cly Turbo Engine Iam getting about 46mpg over my initial 2000miles . The road noise inside is much quieter than the Mazda I can now here the radio at 60mph, the radio quality is excellant perhaps because it's a DAB radio not had a Dab before even the wife commented how good it was. The Cruise control works excellant overhaul I can't fault it so far. I hope it continues ok

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

Good car so far , really like the 1litre ecoboost engine , if I am being picky , I would think it should have disc brakes all round due to ecoboost having a bit more power .Also I have a couple of annoying noises/vibrations coming from somewhere on the dashboard that I cannot seem to pin down! Apart from that it us a great car in all respects! !

Brilliant Big Small Car

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

It has everything you need from a small car. It feels like it's much bigger than it is. I particularly like the Bluetooth enabling me to receive and make handsfree calls using voice commands and to play music from my iPod. The acceleration is great for such a small engine. The only improvements I can think of is I would like the back seats to go down flat when extending the boot - they don't quite go down completely. I would also like leather seats. As I've only had the car 9 months I have given the reliability five stars as to date I have had no problems whatsoever. Overall a great car.

Best hot hatch

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

If you want a small car that's fun to drive, this is still the best option 3 years after it was first released. It will put a smile on your face every time you drive it. The only downside is that the interior quality isn't great which causes some rattles, but the dealers are happy to fix these free of charge. The ride is hard but not uncomfortable. I'm getting an average of 37 mpg.

I have never found myself to be short of torque or power when overtaking other cars on the motorway and it always manages to put a smile on my face when i take it out for a hoon. This car is worth every penny and if your looking for a small sporty car, this blows its competition out of the water like nothing else.

Upgraded to this from the 1.0T Zetec S, and it is a country mile better. Quick enough, handles like it's on rails, amazingly comfy on long distance journeys, rarely returns anything under 30mpg, and has enough toys to keep you entertained. Only thing I would say is make sure you purchase from TrustFord dealerships, the service is 5 times better than a normal Ford dealer.

Ford has brought the fun and drivability back to their range

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

The Ford Fiesta ST is a real driver's car. Bags of fun, brute force acceleration and unbelievable grip in the corners. What's more is you need not be a professional race car driver to unlock the potential. The excellent traction control and electronic differential ensures that whatever the ability the driver, the car is kept in check and be pushed, safely, to its limits. Besides the raucous engine, suspension upgrades by the ST division, the shell is a Fiesta and therefore is highly practical, with a great cabin, seats (although the ST does benefit by having Recaro bucket seats) and a spacious boot. All in all, I've had my ST for 2 years now and still turn to look at it every time I get out of it.

Brillant Car

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

Having owned my Ford Fiesta ST for nearly 9 months, I have been very happy with the car since I have had it. The fiesta has a decent sized boot, 5 seats and isofix for child seats. Rear seats collapse but do not fold flat so it can be difficult loading large item. Since owning the vehicle, there have been no mechanical problems and it has been running fine. Build quality is typical of fords - I have had the door handle snap off in my hand. The interior of the ST is pretty much the same as the standard Fiesta minus the chunky recaro sports seats and a few ST logos. The car drives superbly. The handling is brilliant and the engine is great - power is available when you need it. If you drive carefully, the car can be cheap to run - I have averaged over 50mpg on a long run. Fuel economy driving around town is also good if you lean off the turbo. Overall, very happy with the car!

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

Ive owned my fiesta for nearly two years now and it is by far the most comfortable, reliable, practical, best looking car ive ever owned. After driving for 8 years, and owning escorts, fiestas, mondeos and all sorts, i finally decided in 2014 to buy a new car. At just over £200 a month including full services and mots, its the best money ive spent. I was involved in a large car accident on the M1 a few years back and after that, i felt i needed something safer than my previous car but still fast and controlable. To this day, i still believe theres no other better value for money and you can throw it around every bend and curve with absolute control.

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

This car drives quite well and has plenty of power. It has good road holding and sharp steering. What has not been good is fuel economy is nowhere near that stated in the handbook. It should be over 65 and I have never achieved better than 45. The other thing that rarely works is the stop start system. Both the 2 previous points I have mentioned to Ford dealer and on both they say this is normal. I have previously driven VWs and will probably go back to them , as being of a slightly higher quality

This is a brilliant little car to drive around any city or town, the only downside I can think of is that it is too fun drive! I've given it four stars on running costs for that reason, it's a little to easy to just put your foot down every time you pull away from the lights. Ford are on to a winner with the EcoBoost engine. Practically speaking it is a good car, not the roomiest in the back or boot but not bad. Can't really fault it, get one.

Good all round performer.

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

Good looking car, fairly economical for the performance you get, 40 mpg+ if you take it steady, 35mpg if you don't. Holds the road well, although the ride can be a little hard with the supplied Bridgestone Potenzas at forecourt pressure, but much better when deflated for normal driving and swapped for another brand when worn out (unusual tyre size but not too expensive to replace.) All round good value, although not practical as a family car, but who would buy a 3 door for that anyway.

Fiesta 1.0 (100ps) ecoboost 3dr (first car)

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

Great as a first car, the build quality is second to none and the interior is just what you need and nothing more. The drive in this car is brilliant, much better than an equivalent corsa, the power delivery of the spritely, 1.0 turbocharged engine is brilliant. It gives you the right amount of pull just when you need it! Would definitely recommend to anyone, if you're looking for a bit more oomph then go for the 125-140ps variants, but if like me you're tied down to cheap insurance policies then the 100ps is more than enough!

The Ecoboost

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

The Ecoboost is a nippy 3 pot engine and a great little run around, it is nippy and reliable which is what you want. The overall build of the Fiesta is great. However, the downfalls I find by owning one are the over exaggerated MPG, admittedly I do not do long drives, rarely longer than 1 hour and normally fairly busy roads. This being that I have not given the 1L turbo a chance to shine on a long run. I have reached a max of 46mpg on a good run but normally about 39.7 (AVG) I also use Shell V-power and do not redline it. I use the stats on 'Auto Trader' to give the guide lines for the MPG but I know, I know... They are unrealistic. But even urban which is the lowest reading of 53.3 something that seems unreachable. I have the Ecoboost 100ps Zetec which like I said, I am thrilled with. But another few set backs I have encountered are as followed. - No vanity mirror light Not much a problem for myself but for any of you sharing with your partner and who likes a good bright light to check themselves every now and again will have to use daylight, failing that use the light over by the rear view mirror. - Rear seats seems fairly hard and rather high I am 6'2 and normally driving the Fiesta but when I have been in the back I have found myself to be near the head linear and to be higher than the driver. I realise that the driving seat can be adjusted in height but my personal feel is when in the back it isn't that luxurious. - The AC controls When in the Fiesta you have the option like most cars to change the direction or air blowing in the car. You can have it facing your head, feet, window or if you are indecisive then halfway between the two. The only downer is that when it is night outside and you and wanting to change direction of air blow then you will have to take more time than you would of thought, squinting to see where the air will be coming out from as you turn the wheel in the dark. However, I would like to add that most of the dash is lit up. Although these negatives may sound petty, they are: These are all the negatives that I could think of. Many of the negatives mentioned may vary due to model. I can not stress how good the Ecoboost is.

1.0 Ecoboost Frozen White Fiesta 125 Zetec S

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

Absolutely love this car, so much power from such a little engine and that was me surprised before they even brought out the 140 Red and Black editions. It's very nimble to drive, I still scare my other half going round some corners sometimes. It's not to be recommended but I have entered a few corners that I wasn't sure I was going to make it out the other side and the car has handled it really well. Always hitting between 47 and 51 mpg, especially on longer runs, its economy really does shine through then even with a bit of harder, fun driving in between. No Tax, cheap to run, excellent for fun. Its a great car for anyone looking for a bit of style. We still have the practicality of a base model Fiesta, good boot space, can fit 4 passengers in (though its a given that 3 doors aren't for everyone but it seems the new ST-Line has incorporated a 5 door option). The only issue I have with it, and it really is a small thing as most other cars develop it too, is the amount of things that buzz and rattle. If its cold, one thing buzzes and if its warm a different thing rattles. I'm gradually going round sorting them all out giving them a push or a pull etc. It could even be down to the fact that I'm running the 17" 8 spoke wheels. But that is really nothing compared to the cars economics and drive experience.

I managed to get about 48-52mpg on average and I'm rather heavy footed with the accelerator.

2016 Ecoboost 125 Titanium

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

Car is only a week old, so a limited review. Overall, quite attractive styling, but the rear windows are small as a result. Engine is fairly flexible, although still running it in for the first 1000 miles. Equipment level is good and the road manners are excellent. Still very new, so will add more later. Our other 2012 1.25 Fiesta computer consistently over-estimates the fuel consumption figure by around 5%, so I assume the new one might be the same. The gearing is fairly high, so I am expecting the fuel figures to be good for motorway driving, but it also needs use of the gears to stay smooth around town. (I think my old 1.6 petrol Mk1 Focus has spoiled me for a flexible modern engine). The power is there from around 2000 revs, although I am being fairly restrained until the car has a few more miles on it. The interior is very nice, although the dash is full of buttons and looks dated compared with, say, the new Astra. The Sony DAB radio seems to be good, as my old one used to fade-out a lot around here and the new radio so far has been able to stay with the signal. You can lose a lot of your life reading through the extensive settings menu, and the eco button is still a mystery, although the car slows a lot when you press it - maybe I'll investigate it later. The reliability and running costs ratings are obviously a guess to allow me to fill in the form.

Overall i am happy with the remarkable engine the very best thing about this car,not happy that it has had in only 3 years use and very low mileage 30729km, (19094m) windows won't one touch any more and can't access the menu to change the time on the clock, two things that never should be at fault for the year. The one liter engine is a joy to drive but the car is not set up for this engine as the steering geometry is out as it wanders and follows lines in the road and can spin a drive wheel on corners very easily, but boy is it fast you would think it was a 2 liter engine.

The car is comfortable for front seat passengers (full leather) but cramped for those in the rear. A major irritation is that the rear seats do not fold flat so load carrying is restricted. The dual floor boot is useful and I am able to fit both a small mobility scooter and a walker in the boot with the rear seats up and available for passengers. The car is well equipped. The auto lights and wipers are particularly useful as are the cruise control and front/reverse cameras. The car is a 5 door. The doors are quite large which is noticeable when extracting oneself in the garage. My previous car (mercedes A class) was slightly wider yet afforded more room to get out. If you have a small garage you may wish to check out whether the car will indeed fit and allow exit from the car easily.

Living with the Fiesta ST

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

This car is a DRIVERS car if you want luxury, comfort and good MPG move along now. The ride is hard, the car isn't economical. But what the car does give you is a smile from ear to ear, it's sports suspension is fantastic and does exactly what you'd expect, It corners like it's on rails and the model I have has the Mountune 215 conversion which offers blistering pace. If you want a fast fun car then why are you still reading get to your local dealer and get one bought.

Overall a great package.

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

This Fiesta is one of the most fun cars I have ever owned. The steering is light and so very precise, handling is very good for just a general city car. Feels at home on the open road and in town. Rearward visibility is not brilliant overall due to the big C pillars but you do get used to that. Big mirrors do make a difference too, much better than before. Parts for the Ecoboost engine seem a little higher than the older Sigma engine cars but I expect that to drop when other brands start to make aftermarket parts later on in the cars life. The tight turning circle is good and refinement is a big improvement over the previous model. The dash is well laid out (if a bit to many buttons) and most plastics are nice apart from the cheap feeling lower dash. The car feels solid to drive and I expect that to last with us having a 15 plate order one in the family and also a pre-facelift 2010 model that still drives almost as new on 50k miles. The boot is pretty much the same as the previous model which means it is fine for general shopping or one big suitcase but not really big enough for 5 people when of course the Focus would be a better choice of car in that department. The rear seats not folding flat is something to remember too if your trying to slide stuff into the boot.

Underpowered Overachiever

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

Absolutely sexy and a great little first car. Has the looks but not the power in the 1.25 Zetec 82 version I own, but that in itself keep the car very economical. I wouldn't call it nippy but it handles well about town enough to avoid spontaneous obstacles. It lacks sufficient boot space too, but putting the rear seats down makes more than twice as much room. The stereo is great too. Sound quality is immense and rivals that of other cars.

Fantastic car

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

Having gone from an Audi TTS to my Fiesta Titanium X, I am seriously impressed, it is nippy, fun to drive and cheap to run, it may not be as fast as the Audi but in many ways I actually prefer it. It is quieter and the ride quality is better and the cabin is very well appointed. I chose well!

My Fiesta

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

This is the 3rd Fiesta I've owned and easily the best. It steers like it's on rails and, when the booster comes in, it's like driving a 1.6 litre car. Very cheap to run too with in town consumption >35mpg and over 50 on a run.

Nippy

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

This is my first 1ltr eco boost car, and my goodness doesn't it drive like it's a 1.6 on steroids! Very quick and very grippy. It's such a lovely car to drive, it is quiet on the inside and out. The comfort is great, driven to Bath and back and had no discomfort plus the fuel barely moved from the full tank mark which I was very pleased with.

My Fiesta 1.25 Zetec 4 door

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

This car is used as a local transport around town, it is comfortable, responsive, easy to drive, reliable, and with simple controls, and also has the benefit of a low road tax band. So far I have been very impressed and pleased with this vehicle.

Ford Fiesta ST, 1 month into ownership.

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

I recently purchased a 2015 ford fiesta ST with 15,000 miles. I previously owned a ford fiesta zetec white edition 2015. I got bored of the zetec very quickly although it was fairly adapt for use for most others I really wanted a power increase. I have picked up the ST3 for a fairly reasonable price and the previous owner was a fanatic for car care and ensured that it remained original and only genuine parts used in servicing, car was garaged and cleaned regularly. Since having the car I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience, I have driven to Bristol on the day of collection and back home (4 hour trip mainly consisting of motorways). I found the suspension on the ST to be less suited on the motorway compared to the Zetec but this was down to the build of a car, and both designed for completely different target markets. I have found that the ST is much more of a car in comparison to the 100bhp zetec, although having the same dimensions as the zetec the ST feels more substantial on the road and feels a lot more engaging car to drive in comparison to the fairly docile Zetec. I really bolstered Recaro's in the car which firmly grip you in your seat, it helps provide enough comfort for everyday use and holds you in adequately under hard acceleration and cornering. The cars mechanical grip leaps and bounds over the old zetec, you can throw it into any corner and the car will grip to the tarmac better than any other cars I've driven. In summary the ST is the best car which I've owned and is a massive improvement for me compared to my old Zetec and is defiantly worth the extra money for a more drivers focused car.

Don't buy from Ford Direct

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

This is a Ford Direct car (A10SEB) which came with very few miles on the clock, just over 1,000 and the rear bumper had been poorly repainted and Ford did not want to know, not their issue. Their tag line is 'Secondhand Cars Like New backed by the RAC, we check, they check'. Total and utter rubbish!! Cost me £400 to have a new pre-painted bumper fitted. Plus they weren't interested that we bought two of these cars and a Ford Focus Titanium all within weeks of each other, so had spent a lot of money on their products £46,000 in total. Were they interested in doing the right thing and sorting the issue to keep a customer happy. What great customer relations, not!! Overall the car is fine, but MPG highly exaggerated, but that's the Motor Industry all over.

It's nice, but.....

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

Always a difficult job for the car that was to replace my Focus ST. A bit like replacing Sir Alex at Man United. Initially I hated the car, it was slow and unresponsive and the gearing ratios felt like they had been designed by a 5 year who found his dad's calculator. But since turning off the "Eco" button it has been transformed. It has a better throttle repsonse and is much faster, the gearing ratios feel better spaced and it's a joy to drive. The turn in is sharp and steering precise, although press on mid-corner and it has a scary amount of understeer. It's a lot less economical than I had expected (altough bizarrely more economical with the "Eco" button off); I got close to the expected figures from my ST, but this car is nowhere near the book figures. Some of the interior plastics are cheap and the gimmicky voice control is a waste of time. The seats are very uncomfortable on long journeys, but adequate for short stints. It's now 12 months old and I have grown to appreciate it's abilites and overlook it's shortcomings. I greatly miss the easy power of the 2.5 litre turbo from my ST as the engine struggles at low revs, especially when ascending an incline, but it's okay. Woud I recommend one.? I'd say don't overlook one if you're in the market for a small hatchback, but don't buy one blindly

Eco REALLY !

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2012-onwards

Reliable, a bit cheap and plastic inside however the biggest con is the mileage, it's the Eco model, 3 cylinders etc. however if I get 35 mpg I would be happy, it drinks fuel like a v8. If your looking for something economical ignore the reviews and buy a diesel.
