Lexus forever

LEXUS IS ESTATE 2001-2005

Reliability is unbeatable it was a joy to live with and only ever cost servicing. If driven sensible it returned late 20s mpg. It responded when I wanted it easily replaced my Impreza and gave me a great deal of pleasure it is the second vehicle I have owned by this manufacturer for more than ten years. It had 75000 miles when I PX it and now that I am living in Ukraine I wish I still had it. It never had any faults at all everything worked as expected the 5 doors made it practice and I carried a full set of drums in it for a number of years 7drums cased all hardware and about 14 cymbals plus lights.

LEXUS IS ESTATE 2001-2005

- I recently sold my '09 BMW 535d due to impending move into a city - I researched which 'shed' to buy and car reviews kept pointing towards Lexus IS200/300 - Autotrader revealed my '05 registered Sport Cross with 25k on the clock for £4800 at a Toyota dealer I realised I had to take a chance on - have now owned for 500 miles and can say the Lexus is an utterly engaging car. There is no way these cars should trade at a discount to a BMW or a Mercedes. However, I am very pleased they do! They are the best 2nd hand luxury car you can buy. - The rarity of this model has dawned on me since I purchased the car but would advise any person to consider the saloon version if they can't find a Sport Cross to their liking - If you find one with LFSH/FSH and 30/40/50/60/70/80k on the clock have no fear. Only real thing to check is that the timing belt was changed. - Handling is utterly precise; company called Wheels in Motion can set up the geometry with pretty amazing results - engine beautifully put together and held in high esteem by those in the know; they rarely go wrong. It is very low stressed and thus very strong - My family swear it is a lot more comfortable than the Beemer - Consumption on a run has been @36mpg; urban mix @ 25mpg. Given the money I paid, I am happy with that - Buy one whilst you can!

LEXUS IS ESTATE 2001-2005

Rare car (one of only 327 original motors bought into the UK?) and as my neighbour says... timeless. Got this car second hand and it has had it's moments and cost me.. but all in all a great car!
