Fabulous Fiesta

Once a Fiesta always a Fiesta

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 1995-1999

This is my third Ford Fiesta and personally I wouldn't have anything else (well an Aston Martin would make an acceptable addition!) I use it as a general run around and bought her from new in 2001. Admittedly, she is looked after and driven very well. I'm still on the original clutch and second set of brakes. She averages 45mpg when I do a relatively long run. Insurance and road tax is cheap. The only major problem I had was the fuel pump and there was a problem obtaining one of the fuel lines which eventually was tracked down to Fords in Spain. That was a bother as the car was off the road for some time as it occurred over the Christmas period. 15 years on she is starting to get the odd patch of rust that is easily dealt with. What will my next car be..... yes you've guessed it but that will hopefully be some time away yet.

Lovely little car, good responsive drive; not the fastest thing in the world but very practical and cheap to maintain.

Oldie But Goodie! 🙂

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 1995-1999

I bought my 1996 1.25 Zetec Chicane from a known source in 2014 with 30,000 on the clock. I commute 30+ miles each way and it's now (Jan 2017) over 59,000. I had to have arms/wishbones replaced for the MOT last May as it failed on bushes; also a corroded brake pipe. I'd replaced the front discs and pads prior to the MOT so all that doubled my spend on it - better the devil you know, they say? I'm told it looks reasonable underneath, so I'm pretty happy about that.

1999 Mk4 Ford Fiesta Facelift

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 1995-1999

It is a very nippy car very practical but just dont be taller than 6 foot or it will be a bit of a squeeze. Havent done a exceptionally long journey but going to work and back and journeys into town i have to say its a great car just expect a bit of a knee ache from the clutch when your in traffic
