Great all round car

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2008-2012

This model is reliable, great all round runner. I have been happy with my car since the day I bought it and I owned a Porsche Boxster before this! It has all the mod cons in it, ie. hands free for phone calls and has the facility to add your ipod to it via a wire or wirelessly.

Fiesta 1.25 Edge

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2008-2012

It's a comfortable, cheap to run and practical car which I use for local and motorway journeys. One common fault on these cars is with the steering column which becomes noisy and stiff. The cause is usually with the universal joints and caused by the type of grease used. There is information on You Tube about this. Other than this reliability is excellent.

They are good when running but when a fault occurs difficult to diagnose. Engine management light has come on my car and the fault has still not been solved. The power steering has also fails. This car has never been driven on a motorway no excessive Milage, I am not a satisfied customer

Easy to drive and good around town

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2008-2012

The car is easy to drive, comfortable and handles well. Plenty of room in the front for two but width and height for adults in the rear is a bit restricted. Performance is adequate - ideal around town but a bit lacking on the motorway. Also you will notice a fair amount of road noise in the rear. The Entertainment system is pretty good - the Bluetooth works well and the sound quality is good. There is no navigation system built in. On uneven roads the low-profile tyres give a firm but unsettling ride. The alloys for the Titanium are fragile so watch for cracks when buying one. Also check that it comes with a spare tyre, tools and a jack. Some cars don't have this as standard. The boot has a high lip and is not very large - be wary if you need to put a large suitcase in. Reliability has been good and we've had no problems with the car.

Ford Fiesta

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2008-2012

This car is very reliable as far as having very little problems regarding repairs, fuel consumption and comfort. People comment on it being more roomy inside than it looks. I personally think it has the best design of any cars around. The boot takes a lot of stuff.

Great all round car

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2008-2012

This car is good at pretty much everything, when you want to drive quick then it gives you a good kick and otherwise is a comfortable car. Had a few problems with it as I had to get the heating matrix replaced.

Friday Afternoon Job?

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2008-2012

Having bought Ford cars many times over the years I treated myself to a sparkling black new Fiesta Edge in April 2011. Before parting with a few thousand pounds, I researched seriously. Visited different dealerships; took a test drive of six different car models, comparing all designs before deciding Ford's Fiesta Edge to be the perfect car for around town and motorway driving with reliability and long term dependability on a fixed budget. The Fiesta Edge drives well and gives a comfortable ride. The sound system is outstandingly superior than my last Ford Fiesta which I had for 11 years of good reliable service. The Fiesta Edge has a boot large enough for plenty of shopping bags or large suitcase; if two large suitcases one may have to go inside on back seat. Extremely useful to me is the ability to fold the back seat down forwards and create enough space to take half a dozen large sacks of green waste to Council Refuse Dept. The front seats have useful large pockets on rear to hold maps etc. All the other usual fittings such as glove compartment, drink holders usefully placed and a pull out mini drawer for money or small purse. Everything I could want except where to place a ladies hand bag? Usually the passenger has it on the floor near their feet. Still something ignored by car designers yet there are increasingly more women drivers who would like purpose made space large enough to secure a handbag while driving. Friday Afternoon Job? Friends have joked my car was one that left the factory on a Friday with a fault. Having driven 12,700 miles and now aged five years old, a fault has been discovered. The windscreen has a gap in the base around windscreen seal; at a recent garage service I was advised the plastic has warped and replacement part needs to be ordered and fitted. A problem never known to occur on any other car I have driven. This unexpected fault has caused me to lose faith in Ford manufacturing. I am certainly not happy to learn Ford Customer Service will not take responsibility to rectify this free of charge as could be expected with a problem that I believe is due to a manufacturing, design or inferior quality material fault.

highly recommend it is a brand you can trust and it is comfortable and handling is fantastic

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2008-2012

I would say to them if they are starting out for a 1st time car get the style then go from there to zetec S because I think some boy racers get them and beat the hell out of it you should only own a ford fiesta zetecs when you get to 31 that way you can respect the car for it's performances and enjoy the drive more out of it to.

Great all round runabout

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2008-2012

Nippy and great handling supermini. Cheap to maintain, tax and insure. The only downside is that some of the stitching is coming away from part of the drivers seat with the car only having done 33k miles.

A decent hatchback with a fair load space!

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2008-2012

The Ford Fiesta is one of the best selling hatches of all time, and I can see why! The design is stylish and modern, with the interior featuring ambient lighting to add a touch of luxury. The car has a passable sized boot, and the rear seats can be folded down for extra space, however note that the rear seats do not fold down flat meaning you'll have a lip when folded down. With a 1.4L petrol engine at 95bhp, it can feel a little bit sluggish at times. However for a runaround city car, this will suffice just fine. Being the Titanium model, meaning that it is 2nd to top of the range (just below the Titanium X), it does come with good equipment as standard. The Titanium model comes with Powerfold mirrors, climate control, auto lights/wipers, cruise control and front fog lights. There are also many optional extras such as a body styling kit and Sony DAB radio which features Bluetooth connectivity for your phone for audio and calls. The base Titanium model unfortunately only comes with a basic standard Ford stereo which has a simple AUX input and AM/FM radio. The steering of this car is light thanks to power steering, and the gear shifting feels fairly natural. With city driving in mind, this car should be a doddle to drive. It is also perfectly fine for motorway driving and having cruise control allows you to rest your feet whilst maintaining a constant speed. Having a small engine with low emissions, this car is very cheap to run. Vehicle tax is £130 per year and it is in the insurance group 9. Our model had a problem with the steering rack at nearly 30,000mi which meant it had to be replaced. This is not great considering the mileage, but after it had been replaced the car was back to life. The low running costs make up for the car parts!

Brilliant all round car. This review may just me being picky, my trim or it may just be the year of manufacture, but the car has very little 'character'

Sad little motor

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2008-2012

Hopelessly sluggish, dangerously feeble acceleration. If you should ever need to accelerate out of a potential hazard this little tin and plastic box may not be along for the ride. Third gear is particularly odd, seems to hit a flat spot as though you`d changed up too early. Been driving for 37 years now and this is easily the worst car I`ve ever driven.

Very Good Car

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2008-2012

I have just upgraded from a Mark 6 LX 1.25. I had a choice out of the 10 plate edge with a 1.4 engine or a 12 plate zetec with a 1.25 engine. I decided on the 1.4 edge as I wanted something with a bit more power as I often drive on a roads. I an very happy with my choice, it is a very fun car to drive, with fantastic handling and just the right amount of power. The power steering is very light and the car is so easy to manoeuvre. The engine is very responsive and has so far been very reliable as you would expect. The quality of the car is amazing, there are no issues with the outside of the car and the interior is great for a car in this price range. Its also an added bonus that the car looks stunning. It is relatively cheap to run, it slightly cheaper than my previous car in terms of tax and fuel economy. The only added expense is the insurance. But this is to be expected with a bigger engine. The only negatives that I can draw is that I am slightly disappointed with the features that come on this model, it does not come with the upgraded display or the build in hands free kit. The only upgrade on the edge from the standard studio or style models being the AC and remote central locking, This is not a lot for your extra money. My advice would be to go for either the Zetec or titanium models to avoid disappointment with the equipment level. Having said that out of the options that i had it was the right choice as the benefits of the bigger engine outweigh the benefits of the extra equipment. This car has only added to my loyalty to the ford brand, and specifically the fiesta range. My next car will certainly be another ford. The only question is whether I might try the focus.

My little fez

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2008-2012

Bought the car and from day 1 I love the drive! The handling on these are epic plus I have 40mm springs in which just make it even better! Nice little 1600 engine which gets going on the top end. They do like to drink fuel tho but they went too bad on a run.

Great Car

FORD FIESTA HATCHBACK 2008-2012

Love this car handles really well, seems to use less fuel than the pundits would suggest, never had an issue with it - love it - the only thing I would update is I'd have the back seats have the ability to fold flat as the boot although not too bad for the car size I'd be able to get bigger things in.
