I love my car

SUBARU IMPREZA ESTATE 1993-2001

This car is lots of fun to drive. It is so responsive that I always feel safe. Visibility is good, road-holding superb. Mine has done 176,000 and the engine still purrs like a tiger kitten. The biggest downside is that she is thirsty on petrol, so expensive to run.

My 95 import WRX modified

SUBARU IMPREZA ESTATE 1993-2001

I'll start by saying that the option for my car wasn't available so I went for the closest possible, the uk2000 wagon. Mine is a 1995 wrx Japanese import wagon. I'd start by saying I have owned both the saloon and wagon variants and even though the saloon is a lot more popular I'd recommend the wagon for sheer practicality. It weighs an additional 50kg over the saloon but I have moved house, moved a tread mill, a cooker, and fridge as well as transporting my husky to the vets and carrying a months worth of shopping. It has a massive boot space and the rear seats fold almost flat it's like owning a pick up truck! Personally my car has been mapped to 262bhp and modified to my taste, either stock or not they get looks everywhere as the Subaru rumble is always noticeable. The power delivery in the import is sharp as it has a short ratio box so I can't speak for the uk version. It pulls hard through all gears and the td05, saloon early Sti upgrade, spools very quickly and is ready to go from very low rpm. I feel that these cars are some of the best built around, I hardly ever see M plate cars still driven daily, maybe the odd ford escor, but I see more old imprezas being used as even though they are prone to quarter panel rot, they are a solid and reliable car. My car is 21 years old and I get looks from people in brand new performance cars still thinking him going to smoke them off the line, no one knows what you're running and that's what's great about it, how many other 90's cars still give modern cars a run for there money? What to look for: Definitely check the sills and rear arches, along with strut tips for rust. I'd recommend going for a stock car as lots have been modified and abused. Unless it has had a lot of money spent on it or it is clearly well looked after.

SUBARU IMPREZA ESTATE 1993-2001

Always wanted an impreza, this one came up cheap but with a full subaru service history. They say "never meet your heroes"... After a 20 year wait i cant recommend buying one of these cars highly enough... I love it. Off boost mpg 27, at full chat... Somewhat less but thats not the point of these cars. Pick your favourite twisty road and do it in an impreza... It will never be the same again
