JAGUAR S-TYPE SALOON 1999-2002

I've had my 2002 S Type 3.0 V6 auto for two years now. It was a two owner car with 105000 on it and I must say I was a little nervous about buying it. She had history up to 80000, so I serviced, including gearbox filter and oil, replaced the brakes including discs put a couple of anti roll bar bushes on, new battery in, a couple of good quality tyres, replaced the boot seal and now have a great car that's past the last two MOT's without spending another penny on her. The Big Lady stands me £1000 approx! Where would you get a car as comfy for that kind of money. There's now 120k on her and she's never missed a beat. She returns 30mpg normal and 38mpg on a good run.

Power, performance and comfort.

JAGUAR S-TYPE SALOON 1999-2002

The 4 litre cars are now becoming very scarce. If you find one it will probably have high mileage. Don't worry. If it has been well cared for and regularly serviced they will run and run. This is the best car I have ever owned. Bought as a future classic to keep company to my other classic it was so good I sold my VW V10 Touareg and the Jag is now my daily driver - long journeys. I have owned very many top spec Mercedes, BMW and Audi and honestly this beats them all. Comfort, performance, handling are superb. My car is now 15 years old so expect some running repairs. In the 3 years I have owned it it has cost me less that one year's depreciation of my other past cars. Check one out and buy

Still a head turner after nearly 15 years

JAGUAR S-TYPE SALOON 1999-2002

How could I have known that my beautiful old Jag would still be attracting so many complimentary comments after nearly 15 years. Maybe something about the "Roman Bronze" finish which was produced only in very small numbers. This excellent example of British design is amply supported by a reliable and powerful 3 litre engine and, in spite of a few creaks and groans from the front suspension and steering system, the car continues to provide confident and reliable service to it's proud owner.

puddy tat!

JAGUAR S-TYPE SALOON 1999-2002

I would check the sills for corrosion as they are covered by plastic trim, check all electrcs work including sunroof, check engine oil for sludge etc,all dashboard lights should go off including abs light, also common is the ball joints they wear away until they start knocking also check wheel bearings, brakes pull up in a straight line, exhausts also blow.

A great bargain.

JAGUAR S-TYPE SALOON 1999-2002

Picked up this 2002 Jaguar S Type V6 3.0ltr well worth the money 2 years ago and love it. Needed a few bushes, tyres and brakes replaced, otherwise the car is immaculate! Check underneath for rust especially around the lower rear inner wings. Lift the boot mat to make sure no water leaks from the boot rubber as it can cause the fuses to short. Radiator expansion tank can cause a few headaches as a well known problem! Returning 30mpg and more if it's on a good long run. Comfy big car. Replacement parts not expensive and readily available.

good cars for little money

JAGUAR S-TYPE SALOON 1999-2002

pre- facelift modal,,,i drive a 2001 model,17 mpg is not good but then i don't do a lot of miles, good drive and ride,,car runs good as i maintain it well (that;s the key) its a wolf in sheep's clothing 240 bhp, its a great shape a proper jag, group 41 insurance, where the cost is high to run you get back in comfort,i recently did a 550 mile round trip and i felt fresh after.the s-type is a future classic. if you are willing to do repairs your self you will save a packet, garage bills are high as jags are time consuming to work on.

JAGUAR S-TYPE SALOON 1999-2002

Service history from Jaguar dealer essential. I got lucky, one owner from new and he kept everything relating to it. Having said that I know the car needs some t.l.c., but god that engine is glorious. When I first bought the car I was thrilled by its performance and I found my heart was thumping, now it starts racing as I unlock the doors and slip on my seat belt just hoping I'll get a safe opportunity to floor it for a little while.

My new S Type

JAGUAR S-TYPE SALOON 1999-2002

Beautiful looking car, drives effortlessly on the motorway.... it's my first Jaguar and i am more than impressed with this car. More than enough power on tap when needed, even though it is the 1999 model. It has been well looked after with full service history and only 59,000 miles on the clock. I only use it at the weekend but will hopefully keep it for many years to come...

hello guys just bought the car on 8th of nov 2017,its insured to be driven from next tuesday.i didnt want to drive it straight away on public roads, and get used to the auto gear box which im not used to.find bmw mercs salloons boring and soulless.the jag with the wood and leather do it for me oozing class and character.the seller kindly delivered it free of charge, and it has a full year mot/94,000 miles.its a lot bigger a car than i thought.
