TOYOTA COROLLA VERSO ESTATE 2004-2007

The good is that all the rear seats fold flat, so you have a van effectively, but with the quiet comfortable ride. Two items of agro 1) the switch to increase the brightness to the dash lights when lights are on. Fiddley and can alter other items in the computer. A separate switch would have be simpler and easier. 2) The Steering lock is smaller than its predecessor, why? In all other aspects it does "what it says on the tin". Starts runs perfectly. I would like to find out if this had the Toyota mod to cure oil burn , which the 1zzfe is renowned for, (though mine seems to record approx 600 miles per pint. (This car is on 93,000). I had the 2001/2003 version prior to this and the oil burn at 114,000 was 300 per pint and a new radiator was needed. Otherwise everything was as it came from Japan.

TOYOTA COROLLA VERSO ESTATE 2004-2007

The car is economical, above average car. Maintenance is low even more than 5 years old. Well made but not cheap. Simple but elegant on its own. One of the reliable cars!

Practical does not have to be ugly or boring

TOYOTA COROLLA VERSO ESTATE 2004-2007

More space than you will expect, easy access, very comfortable, quiet, smooth, deceptively rapid, unexpectedly agile, and unbelievably flexible interior, good climate control - I could go on. Also remarkable reliability and low servicing costs (Toyota service centre), reasonable fuel consumption.

Excellent car, shame about MMT issues

TOYOTA COROLLA VERSO ESTATE 2004-2007

I love this car so much I bought a d4d version as a 2nd car for commuting and towing leaving my wife the MMT as she prefers automatic. The MMT is definitely a nuisance although mine hasn't broken it definitely doesn't work as it should do. Hopefully this MMT will last long enough until the new version of auto box is in my price range.

Very practical

TOYOTA COROLLA VERSO ESTATE 2004-2007

Medium sized car. Mine is 5 door saloon. 1st & 2nd row seats adjustable, but front seats do not fold flat. To tilt forward is a pain as there is a pump type ratchet lever. 2nd row seats (3) fold flat individually. 3rd row seats are 2 individual seats which face forward and fold back into the boot floor . Although 5 speed go for the 6 speed version. Good mpg, mid 30s around town, even on motorway still well up in 40s. Best I have managed is 51/52 mpg rural driving and 50 easily obtainable on motorway if speed not exceed 60 mpg. Toyota Parts can be expensive. Beware nearside driveshaft, although long lasting (mine covered over 125,000 mls) mine snapped no warning while pulling away from roundabout. Corrosion caused by water/salt getting in between rubber damper surrounding shaft.
