Awesome performance for the price
SUBARU IMPREZA SPORTWAGON 2005-2008
If you want a family car that puts smiles on your face in the twisty bits and in the drag race from the lights, yet your other half can drive it to the shops, and you can get your kids and all your gear in it for a 2 week holiday, then this is a damn good option. Excellent engine, great handling, amazing reliability. A bit spendy when it comes to fuel consumption, admittedly. But where else can you get that kind of performance for so little money?

Underpowered but fun to drive
SUBARU IMPREZA SPORTWAGON 2005-2008
A 1.5L 100HP engine in an estate car means it is going to be underpowered, While it is not slow it does take a while to get moving meaning you have to think twice before pulling out of a junction or overtaking someone. But the AWD system make up for the lack of power in grip, I have a lot more confidence Blasting down a country lane in this that any small front wheel drive car. The Gearbox is a 5-Speed manual with a Dual Range transfer case, meaning on snowy day or muddy tracks you can shift it into low range and not have to worry about spinning the wheels and getting stuck. The interior is spacious and well made, all the switches and dials are easy to reach and see. The back seats have a good amount of leg room, and fold down flat to give plenty of luggage room. Overall this car is practical, comfortable, fun to drive, reliable, has a few quirky features that come in handy, will easily do 30-40MPG depending on your driving. But the bottom line for me is, get the 2L model, you will get the same car but with that bit extra power it so desperately needs at times.
