Happy

AUDI A3 HATCHBACK 2008-2012

I am happy with the car I have. I have had it remapped as after a while the power does get a little boring, but that's just me. I used to ride motorbikes, so I do enjoy a fast ride/drive. I was getting around 32mpg on main roads and 41mph on motorways (long distance) After the remap I was getting 39mpg on main roads and 47/51mpg on motorways (not so far) The power without the remap is insane anyway but it it worth doing once you've had the car for a while. The boot size is perfect, I can fit a fridge freezer in there with the boot closed, (seats down) I can fit a 50" television in the boot with the seats down, I can fit a lot in the car with the back seats up too. I upgraded the headlights to Xenons but standard bulbs are perfectly fine. The work is not worth the hassle to have HIDS installed. One of my pet hates about the car is there's only 1 cup holder and that's very frustrating for me when I have a drink which I can't hold as I am driving and my other half will have to hold her coffee however far we have to drive. I think that is the only problem I have with the car. (petty I know) but I have to find 1 problem. Mechanical problems I have had was the clutch snapping in 4 places, which the car had only done 41k miles but I think it was down to the previous owner enjoying the car a bit too much and not enjoying how absolutely amazing the car is at low speeds and just cruising along on motorways and main roads. It is so quiet that you just do not need to shout or just talk louder to talk to your passengers. The cruise control works perfectly and the bluetooth works just fine. I do think the standard bluetooth could do with the music play in there as standard as I can only make calls through the steering wheel and answer phone calls and that is it. Music option should always come with it instead of buying an extra part to go into the back of the cd player. Changing the bulbs in the car is an absolute nightmare. I took it to Halfords to do it as I have Carpal-tunnel in my wrists and my hands swell up if I have to fidget in small spaces. That is pretty much all I can say about the car. Hope this review helps anyone out there.
