Insignia Elite Nav

VAUXHALL INSIGNIA DIESEL HATCHBACK 2009-2013

Great mid-range car. With Elite Nav trim, the spec gives higher brand cars a run for their money.

My Vauxhall

VAUXHALL INSIGNIA DIESEL HATCHBACK 2009-2013

I have had several cars since I past my test all them years ago and this is by far one of the best I have purchased, I am self employed and do courier work which I use the car for, as well as towing a caravan with it with ease. I also run a small removal business which I use a long wheel base sprinter for.

VAUXHALL INSIGNIA DIESEL HATCHBACK 2009-2013

I love my insignia a smart hatchback at realistic cost ,comfortable and reliable. I've owned this car for 4 years now with no major work needed a very safe car which If it wasn't for its size and weight I could have been flipped during an accident last year with my family in the car. Its size doesn't affect its speed not the fastest car ever but it has some power to get you out of tight situations. If i was to list any bad points I would say not many different to any other car other than it does have a large turning circle and parking sensors are would be helpful as you have some blind spots when it comes to parking due to a small rear window. And there is a large community on Facebook groups if you need help with this model.

My proud

VAUXHALL INSIGNIA DIESEL HATCHBACK 2009-2013

While it took a bit of getting used to, it is a big vehicle being the estate or tourer version. I really like the colour i chose, (myst green) it really compliments the shape & styling of the car. If i could go back & make my choices again, there are a few small things i would change. The 1st change i would make is that i wouldn't have the sat-nav option. It's a poor implementation of the function & i lost the dab radio in the process. I would opt for the 4wd option, especially with the current weather conditions. I would also go for the blue tooth option. I really enjoy using the car; it has a really smooth ride, i like the seats & the load space and some of the bells & whistles are really useful. The electronic hand brake is both good & bad: it's great for hill starts, but i have to watch that it doesn't release when i'm not paying attention. The car is better in the cool than in the heat of summer. Below about 16c you can drop the revs to almost zero before it stalls, but as the outside temp creeps over 20c, it will stall at the merest hint of a drop in the revs. I've read that there are too many small buttons on the dash, i agree, but i'm getting used to them now & don't use many of them in normal day to day driving. The glove box is poorly implemented, it has a large door, but the space inside is small. The button behind the gear stick is too big so i constantly catch it with my arm as i change gear. So the car isn't with out it's niggles, but overall i really like the car, although i'd love the opportunity to change a few things to make it a really great car.

This is a very good car, runs well and starts easily. Like all Vauxhall cars, it has a roomy boot. The back seat folds down to accommodate almost anything. . I would recommend it totally. I Love my car
