Toyota Verso

TOYOTA VERSO ESTATE 2009-2012

Great family car . Very comfortable in front and plenty of space for 3 adults in the rear. The 2 child seats in the rear would only be good for small children. With the rear seats folded down we can fit a huge tent, air beds, tables, chairs, etc. and all the rest of the camping gear my wife and I need for a very comfortable time exploring Britain and Europe. Toyota reliability is legendary we are happy to go wondering all over the countryside and not worry about the car breaking down. Great car and realisable brand. Wouldn't hesitate to buy Toyota again.

Workhorse

TOYOTA VERSO ESTATE 2009-2012

Bought this model with 5 seats as I did not have the requirement for 7. At the time of purchase the only option with 5 seats was to have it fitted with the 1.6 petrol engine with the added bonus it was much cheaper . With hind site I wished I had gone for the 1.8 as I found the 1.6 underpowered and a struggle on long hill climbs and slow to overtake. The preferred diesel option was out of my price range at the time. Despite the above it has proved a real workhorse and after a couple of teething problems at the start has proved to be totally reliable both as family transport and on on many occasions used as a removal van and builders truck. It travels regularly from the south coast of England to the Scottish Highlands and I have no qualms as to its reliability. Running costs are about as expected with over 45mpg on long fast trips. The trip computer shows I'm getting 32mpg round town. Plenty of room inside (I'm 6ft2in) and comfortable on long trips. Road noise not enough to stop normal conversation round the 70mph mark on the motorway. Rear passenger seats move back and forward so no problems there either with regard to leg and hight room. Large and high doors so exit/entry a doddle. The quality of the plastics and fixtures could be better (may well be on newer models) as they haven't stood the test of time well. Drivers seat cloth starting to split at seams and plastics really looking faded. Would I get another? Probably, but would opt for diesel if I did .....but....will have a good look at the competition first, as times have moved on and there are a lot of vehicles out there offering as much or more for the money with similar or better warranty length and equally as RELIABLE as the Toyota range which was was part of the reason I bought Toyota in the first place.

2011 Toyota Verso 1.8 TX

TOYOTA VERSO ESTATE 2009-2012

Based on the my 7-months ownership, it is a great vehicle overall. Practical and has good power with 7 adults. It has mostly good extras which are mainly found on the upmarket brands standard. Only seem to come in odd tyre sizes which are a bit on the expensive side from my country aspects, this could be due to economy factors of demand and supply. Compared to the previous version I happened to own. Better handling and bit nippy than the old one. Fuel Consumption to date is 8L/100km (Toyota's 7.6L/100km) Tyre size & brand 205/60 R16 Sailun Atrezza

Had this Verso 18 months .. a brilliant driving experience . Sports button can kick in when needed and instant power for steep inclines was a godsend on this years Cornwall holiday. Power plus quiet engine a truly mechanical marvel.

TOYOTA VERSO ESTATE 2009-2012

Had this Verso two years now and very pleased with performance , particularly the Sports button which is instant acceleration on steep hills. Seating reconfiguring option is a blessing for switching from 5 or 7 seats to heavy load needs. Ideal family car performing well both motorway and round town

Computer warning lights

TOYOTA VERSO ESTATE 2009-2012

Excellent car drives well ....fuel efficient better now correct oil 0w20;used on last service. Also have switched to higher grade fuel(petrol) Shell is stead of supermarket fuel in hope it will avoid what seems to be a common problem on modern day cars with the EGR Exhaust Gas Recirculation becoming an expensive repair if you are a round town driver as it seems a blast down the motorway is a regular necessity to avoid EGR valve sooting up. Having said all this still love the Verso excellent family car and now achieving 37 to 40 Mpg round town since changing fuel and oil being used. Occasional engine warning lights after 3 or 4 days round town driving but ITALIAN TUNE UP (hi-speed hi-revs sustained when engine hot for 20 plus minutes )keeps performance at a good level .
