My third Aygo & love them all

TOYOTA AYGO HATCHBACK 2014-onwards

If you want a reliable town/shopping car, this fits the bill. Has really good extras... Bluetooth connectivity, rear camera (although this is only useful to make sure nothing is passing behind you, but great all the same) & side air bags as well as the forward ones. we have done motorway and distant journeys and it preforms well. If you have passenger in the back, then you realise it is only a 1lt engine. Going up hills, you need a bit of a run to keep the speed up, but it wasn't build for hills. The X-Play engine noise is much quieter than the previous models & the addition of the brake roll back is really good.

Aygo 2014 x-Pression Automatic

TOYOTA AYGO HATCHBACK 2014-onwards

This is a fantasic car to run, very cheap on insurance, road tax and petrol. I love the upraded interior / exterior having owned the previous aygo model, it feels like a completly different car. The touch screen is allot of fun to use and I highly recommend getting the sat nav which does not come as standard. If you`ve owned an aygo before the engine will feel much the same, im noticing slightly better performance on mpg and am averaging around 50mpg , 40ish in town and 60 on motorways.

Love my new aygo

TOYOTA AYGO HATCHBACK 2014-onwards

I bought the X play with the touch screen. Car feels more spacious and feels a more robust and safer car to drive. My previous car was an aygo and I had it for eleven years. Brilliant car hence bought another one.

Love my Aygo

TOYOTA AYGO HATCHBACK 2014-onwards

It is a great nippy town car, with a lot of room in the front for the tallest driver. It can even hold it's own on the motorway. your phone connects easily so you can play your music or make a call if necessary. It can comfortably hold 4 people, but try to avoid hills, as it only has 1ltr engine so it would be asking a lot of it when fully loaded. it even has a reversing camera, so that you can make sure it is clear behind when reversing!

Thrilled to bits!

TOYOTA AYGO HATCHBACK 2014-onwards

It's a delightful car - very smooth automatic - and I love the bluetooth connection to my phone for music, calls etc. I found the satnav quite awkward at first but I soon understood how it works and it gets me around easily and notifies me of any speed cameras. I also love the folding roof, especially now the warmer weather is coming. Altogether I'm totally thrilled to bits!

AYGO REVIEW

TOYOTA AYGO HATCHBACK 2014-onwards

Do what I did, drop everything and buy. I notice a very slight lag/pause between low gears. That's it really! One irritation is the DAB radio, excellent fidelity. I know that there are blind spots all over the UK as I have had two DAB radios. I am disappointed with the DAM part of the radio. I live in Birmingham and reception is great. It is very complex and head scratching time to try and get certain wave lengths that are easy to access just about everywhere else but here. No information really in the books I can find. I like listening to Cricket on Radio 5 and at night I listen to Radio 4 X. As I write I can forget that, no access at all. I may be doing something naive but I have tried everything I can think of. I know I will have diminished reception in the Lake District.... but Birmingham!!!!! Nice to meet you all.

Has its moments

TOYOTA AYGO HATCHBACK 2014-onwards

It's a very good and reliable car, once it gets moving it can go, quite a loud car and can be prone to small wheel spins can also take a while to warm up but £10 of petrol gets the car around 70-80 miles normally over all very practical

YET TO DO ENOUGH MILES. I AM SURE I WILL ACHIEVE MPG

TOYOTA AYGO HATCHBACK 2014-onwards

Get used to the new gear change. it works well for me now I am used to it. In the E position you get a smooth transition between gears. Selecting the manual shift is easy but one has to remember that it is manual and if and you can surprise yourself by suddenly being in first if not second gear. Once you get it into your head to get back to auto shift if,for example you have to stop at lights, the engine revs will remind you to move across to the E setting ( 4 gears). Cruising in fifth is good on motorway. I am hoping to see good or better mileage . This is where I| occasionally forgot to get out of manual into position 'E'. There is a little delay between the low gears when you start up. You get used to it. Not too sure re loss of spare wheel! I wonder if that causes an inconvenience! Perhaps someone may comment,

My first Toyota

TOYOTA AYGO HATCHBACK 2014-onwards

The Aygo is certainly easy on the pocket, no tax, low insurance and I get nearly 400 miles on a £36 tank of petrol so the Aygo ticks all the boxes on that front. My only gripe is that the gears are not very smooth, first gear especially I am hoping that this will eventually "run in" but overall good value for money and the car looks great.

Toyota Aygo - First Car

TOYOTA AYGO HATCHBACK 2014-onwards

Got this toyota Aygo for my first car. Its really cheap to insure, maintain and run. I've never had any issues with it so far apart from needing the brake disks and tyres replacing due to wear. The only bad thing about it really is its boot capacity, its super small. I often take my grandparents shopping and I can only get 2-3 bags in the boot! - I knew this when I bought the car but didnt think about how much of a (minor) incoveniance it can be having to put shopping onto the back seats.

TOYOTA AYGO HATCHBACK 2014-onwards

Although there is plenty of leg room for the driver and front passenger there is no room for other passengers or for shopping let alone luggage. The rear window EXPLODED whilst sitting on our drive leaving glass shattered everywhere on the gravel drive. Cannot wait to get rid of this Courtesy Car. Thank goodness I don't own it.

TOYOTA AYGO HATCHBACK 2014-onwards

I bought this car when it had done 2883 miles. It`s now done 10700 . I am perfectly happy with it - it does just 60 mpg. I did 2025 miles in France in June. The car appears to do the same mpg on the motorway as in urban driving. I bought the car to last me for life i.e. 8 yrs of driving at 7500 per year ( I am 78). I have previously owned Carina E, Starlet, Rav 4 petrol and Rav 4 deisel. I covered 340,000 in these 4 vehicles with only 7 replacements in total - a radiator for the Starlet (now 22 years old) the most expensive. No electrical faults, no new clutch . You can imagine my alarm at reading about clutch replacements for the Aygo at such low mileages . Would appreciate more on the subject. Can`t fault the Aygo so far for anything but what`s 10K?
