Great driving car

JAGUAR XF SALOON 2015-onwards

Love the HP and the confidence behind the wheel. Car is smooth and fast. Back seat is extremely comfortable. The controls feel nice and are placed exactly where I expect them. Was very easy to adapt to the radial gear dial. Good visuals on the backup camera (some other manufacturers' were very grainy). Like the confidence of the warrantee and included maintenance. Wish it had a bit more cubby space and I miss the two SD slots for audio from my previous (different manufacturer) car. If you routinely carry around back seat passengers you might not like the rear headrests as they cut a bit into review vision - however, they fold down out of the way very easily. So, if you only have the occasional back seat passenger, it's a non-issue. Rating lower on build quality for two reasons - one is a minor rattle (not loud but I hear it) on the passenger side and the second is because of the need for a software update 1 month after I buy it. The minor rattle bothers me less than the SW update, oddly enough but not sure why. I think it might just be the flukey inconsistencies with the audio and phone/Bluetooth. I expect both will be resolved soon. I looked at Mercedes, Audi, Cadillac, and even BMW before the Jag. Some were very nice but nothing really special. I knew the minute I drove the Jag that it was the car for me. Overall, very happy with my purchase.

2015 Jaguar XF 3.0 Portfolio Review

JAGUAR XF SALOON 2015-onwards

Good points: Great engine with lightning fast acceleration, superior handling, outstanding sound system, eye-catching style, excellent gas mileage, prestige. Areas for improvement: Navigation system is slow to react, stop-start system should have the option to permanently disconnect the engine stop/start system. There is a button to turn the option off but the system defaults to being on every time you start the car. The only mechanical issue in the first 18K miles was a bad O2 sensor that was replaced under warranty.
